Q: What is the difference between detailing and taking my car to the car wash down the street?
A: Very good question, detailing a vehicle is
much more than just a wash, I meticulously clean and recondition
every surface of the vehicle by hand leaving it in like new
condition.
Q: I am ready to sell my vehicle; do I really need it detailed?
A:
Absolutely! Having your vehicle detailed restores your vehicle to
the best possible condition allowing you to sell the vehicle easier
and potentially getting more money out of your investment.
Q: The car wash down the street offers “detailing” for less than you, what is the difference between you and them?
A:
Detailing is a term that is loosely thrown around by just about
everyone who has a bucket and hose.
There are many people who call themselves “detailers” but
don’t actually detail.
Car wash detailing typically does not take the time or care that
your vehicle deserves.
Detailing is an art and the person doing the detailing at the car
wash more than likely does not have the experience needed to
properly restore your vehicles finishes.
Q: How long does a wax job last?
A:
There are actually two types of protection for your vehicle.
The first is a Carnauba Wax, favored by many enthusiasts,
giving your vehicle a nice warm glow.
The Carnauba Wax will provide 2-3 months of protection.
The second type is a paint sealant.
A sealant is made from synthetic polymers which provide
longer protection for your vehicle.
A paint sealant will last 6-12 months.
Q: Ok I just had my vehicle detailed by you, how do I keep it looking nice?
A:
Depending on what you are looking for I would recommend getting a
Wash, Vac, & Premium Wax 3-4 times per year to ensure your vehicle
is protected all year long.
We can set up periodic washes to keep your vehicle up to PAR
but if you prefer to do it yourself then I recommend washing it by
hand with a wool wash mitt and never using dish detergents or taking
it through car washes as they are too harsh on your vehicle and
strips the protection off the paint.
Q: The dealership put on a paint protection and they say I don’t ever have to wax my vehicle again. Is this correct?
A:
If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is and this is one
of those times. Nothing
lasts forever and any protection applied to the paint will
eventually wear off.
Typically if you look at the fine print you are required to bring
your vehicle in every so often to have it reapplied.
I offer the same or better quality paint protection because I
use only the best paint sealants and waxes on your vehicle.
Q: My car is brand new. I don’t need it detailed, do I?
A: Yes, a new vehicle has been sitting around a long time and transported across the state or possibly the country allowing it to pick up contamination. The dealership has also washed the vehicle possibly inducing some swirls. Having your new car detailed starts you off on the right foot with perfect paint and long lasting protection.
